House update

Well, we are still waiting for our turn but not long now. October 2 is when the framing is supposed to begin. We are looking forward to that day. The other houses on our street are being framed now with about 5 still to go before it is our turn.

You can see the other three homesites before ours get the walls put up. This picture is from standing on our first stoop.

Also from our front stoop, across the street to three more home sites. One has been started and then two more before us.

From our front stoop, looking directly across the street. We are nearly on the "corner" of our street even though you would consider us a T intersection. Right across from the fire hydrant, wouldn't my brother be proud.

A picture of our front stoop. Not too many steps to get into our house. I think that little patch of dirt will be filled with wild flowers for the spring and summer. If I can make it work.

And now a look from across the street at the fire hydrant. I am hoping to make a cool montage that fades into the next picture to show the progression of our lot from nothing to home sweet home. We'll see, that sounds complicated.

That's it for now. Have a great weekend and a great upcoming week.
Love,
Lori

Launch Sunday

Launch Sunday has come and gone.... It was like preparing for a wedding, a year of planning and then you get to "where your dress" for 4 hours and then the day is over. I guess the best part about starting a new church is that you get to do it over and over again every week.

We were thrilled with the turn out. 175 in worship, 39 kids in Sunday school / infant-toddler care and 16 teachers. It was a full house. We pray for a great Second Sunday too.

I don't have too many pictures to share yet but will include the altar set and the plants in the worship area. We also got a beautiful bouquet from Rejoice! in celebration of our first worship.

Not just about family...

Those of you who know me, know that I love shoes. Look at what I found at Kohl's. I went looking for brown and ended up with bourdo. They are the cutest shoes I have seen in a long time. I can't wait to wear them.

Aren't they the cutest shoes ever?

Lindberg update

Well, today is Tuesday. Noah is home from school, the girls are getting into things they are not supposed to be and I am on the computer blogging...instead of doing the things that stay-at-home moms do, you know laundry, playing with their children, ironing their husband's clothes for work and baking cookies.

I think this is much more fun and if the girls aren't choking or beating on each other and Noah is not hitting or mutilating them then things are going great at the Lindberg house and I can sit down and blog. Besides I have a house update to get to and a Living Grace Lutheran Church Launch Sunday blog to post up here for all those interested too.

So, let's make this quick...

Noah is really into his scary faces right now. I don't know, he doesn't look to scary to me and James laughs whenever Noah shows him his scary faces. What do you think?

These next two pictures are for two people in the family. Grandpa Pingel, because he does not like the headbands and Aunt Mary because she does like the head bands. Doesn't Rachel look like she is a little old man with the head band pushing down one eyebrow?

Sarah is going to be Miss Photogenic just like her daddy and big brother.

We like black beans going in but not so much when they come out the other end!

Those are my babes. They sure bring lots of joy (I have to say it to remind myself.)

Peace,

Lori

A day in the life of the Lindbergs....

Let's see, I don't have any pictures of the girls "helping" me fold the clean clothes. It was all I could do to get a basket of clothes folded yesterday. They pulled them off the couch faster than I could fold them. And then there was the clean, unfolded clothes in the basket that they pulled on the floor. Oh boy, I know my mom is laughing.

Sarah is caught!
I guess she wants to help with the dishes. How can anyone get mad at this face?
Little sis...I wanted a picture of the two of them but Rachel walked too fast and this was the picture I got... Bedtime. Batman "hand me downs" from Colton and Mira. Noah and his "scary" face.
Is this the cutest boy ever?

I think he was trying to make another scary face but it came out as a pondering face.

It's blurry but this was the last face I saw before bed. Sweet dreams.

And now for the backside... check out the butt!

Have a great day!

1st Day of Preschool

It's a big day in the Lindberg household. Noah is going to his first day of Preschool. He is so excited. He asked for an hour if we could go to preschool now. He also thinks now that he is old enough to go to preschool he is old enough to drive. He said on the way to school, "Mommy, can I drive? I'm a big boy now." Too cute!
Sarah and Rachel have sweaters on that were knitted by a former pastor's wife of my home congregation. They are so delicate and beautiful.
Here he is smiling and ready to go. With his new backpack on and everything.
He is in his classroom, hanging his backpack on the hook under his cubbie.
Posing with his "Cars" backpack on the hook.
His teacher Miss Michelle. He knows her from church so he was not sad at all to go to school.
Here is the outside of the Education Station and the door he goes in to get to his classroom.

He is at school from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. I am supposed to be productive during that time but I have a feeling I might get more posting done. The girls didn't get a nap today. They get the tv and are watching a Baby Einstein dvd and playing with all the toys. I think they like having the living room to themselves.

Have a great day.
