Thursday night house update

We have a fully framed house. WOW! Two full days and there is a house where just three days ago there was none.
Picture from the back of our house. We will have a walkout basement that we will finish on our own, with a little help from a very good carpenter I know, down the road. Windows across the back, top to bottom left to right, master bedroom, loft, girls room. Laundry, kitchen sink, sliding door onto the deck, family room. Basement window and sliding door.
It's fun to stand in the house and actually see the view out the windows. This is the view out our family room windows on the back of the house.
Looking from the family room into the kitchen. James is standing at the sliding door that will go out onto the deck. Half wall is an island.
Looking from the kitchen into the family room. James is standing next to where the fireplace will be.
James and Rachel in the master bath.

View out the front window. The piano will go right by this window.

Sorry this picture is blurry. Noah is standing by the window in his bedroom.

Noah took this picture of me in his new bedroom.

That's it for now. We will keep you posted on our progress. Have a great weekend.

with love...

Wednesday night house update

The house was just about done on Wednesday night. We weren't able to get inside to look because the guys were still working but we got some pictures taken.

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit

The granddaughters, as well as all the grandsons love Grandma and Grandpa a lot.

We are so excited to see Grandma and Grandpa.

I just need to rest right here on Grandpa's leg.

Grandma came over last week to spend the day with me and enjoy Noah and the girls. She did a lot of giggling because the girls were all over everything and everywhere. They sure keep me busy.

Don't be looking down my shirt....

Addicted to my paci...

Mom is so wonderful, she always asks if the girls need a bath and helps me with that job. It's a quick thing to do but is so much easier to do with two sets of hands. Here are a couple shots of our "duckies".

Sarah Jane

Rachel Ann

Today, we went to see Dr. Schidler for a "sick baby" check. The girls both have an ear infection and a beginning sinus infection. We got some of the yummy bubblegum amoxicillin that we all took when we were little. They are champs when it comes to taking the medicine. Rachel got hers first tonight and Sarah was standing by watching. I came to Sarah with her syringe and she took out her pacifier and took her meds right down too. They are too cute, even when they are not feeling well.

It's hard to believe that they will be one year olds in three weeks. This year has flown by and I will miss them being babies. I think I will do some "Ahhh, memories" posts these next few weeks before the big birthday (won't that be fun!) Blessingsto you all and we'll keep you posted on the Lindberg goings on.

We Have Walls...

Would you believe we finally have walls up on our house? Framing began today, just a few days later than we originally were told. I was out to check on the progress at noon after picking up Noah from preschool and this is what we saw...
Then I went out again after dinner and we have a first level all framed up and ready for the guys to start on the second floor tomorrow. So exciting.

More pictures tomorrow night.....

House update

Well, we are still waiting for our turn but not long now. October 2 is when the framing is supposed to begin. We are looking forward to that day. The other houses on our street are being framed now with about 5 still to go before it is our turn.

You can see the other three homesites before ours get the walls put up. This picture is from standing on our first stoop.

Also from our front stoop, across the street to three more home sites. One has been started and then two more before us.

From our front stoop, looking directly across the street. We are nearly on the "corner" of our street even though you would consider us a T intersection. Right across from the fire hydrant, wouldn't my brother be proud.

A picture of our front stoop. Not too many steps to get into our house. I think that little patch of dirt will be filled with wild flowers for the spring and summer. If I can make it work.

And now a look from across the street at the fire hydrant. I am hoping to make a cool montage that fades into the next picture to show the progression of our lot from nothing to home sweet home. We'll see, that sounds complicated.

That's it for now. Have a great weekend and a great upcoming week.
Love,
Lori

Launch Sunday

Launch Sunday has come and gone.... It was like preparing for a wedding, a year of planning and then you get to "where your dress" for 4 hours and then the day is over. I guess the best part about starting a new church is that you get to do it over and over again every week.

We were thrilled with the turn out. 175 in worship, 39 kids in Sunday school / infant-toddler care and 16 teachers. It was a full house. We pray for a great Second Sunday too.

I don't have too many pictures to share yet but will include the altar set and the plants in the worship area. We also got a beautiful bouquet from Rejoice! in celebration of our first worship.

Not just about family...

Those of you who know me, know that I love shoes. Look at what I found at Kohl's. I went looking for brown and ended up with bourdo. They are the cutest shoes I have seen in a long time. I can't wait to wear them.

Aren't they the cutest shoes ever?
